Organic Vs. Artificial Pest Control

It is a recent trend to be more environmentally friendly or to "Go Green ''. Thus, during a pest control service, many customers ask about non-toxic pest control, and so the pest control companies offer two options - organic pest control or artificial pest control.

Both these pest control options give the same result. Through this article- "Organic Vs. artificial pest control," we will tell you the difference between both the options and what in return you will gain from the pest-eradication investment in these different pest management options.

As I said, organic and artificial pest control are two methods for pest management. Organic pest control methods utilize biological materials for managing pests. Synthetic pest control methods use chemicals like pesticides to reduce pest infestations.

You can say, organic methods are more eco-friendly, and artificial techniques are potent. However, in few cases, both organic and synthetic methods can be employed to manage pest problems.

Whatever the conditions are, both pest control methods have their advantages and disadvantages. It would be best if you researched both options to choose the best method for your situation.

Organic Pest Control

Organic control is relatively a new method to fight against pests. Here, organic means- using a way of control that does not use artificial chemicals. So, the organic pest control method assimilates natural substances such as soaps, salts, vinegar or pyrethrum, and lime sulfur.

Benefits Of Organic Pest Control

It is essential to consider the toxicity of any substance rather than considering if it is organic or not. Organic methods are safe, effective, and less harmful to the environment than artificial controls. They work in the same effective way against both harmless and dangerous pests. This pest control method costs less. Organic pest controls are non-toxic or less toxic.

In recent days, Pest Removal Company started using organic pest control methods involving using Boric acid, Neem oil, Limonene (solvents extracted from citrus fruit skins), and ryania (a pesticide made from grounded stems of tropical stems plants).

Artificial Pest Control

Artificial pest control methods have been in use for ages, and they are based on potentially toxic materials to manage pests. The chemicals used in this method have the capacity for residual effects on the environment and humans. Many types of artificial pest control also include systemic pesticides. However, these chemicals destroy the pests without causing any damage to humans.

Benefits Of Artificial Pest Control

Artificial pest controls are generally cheaper than organic methods, and they are readily available and are also very simple to employ. Artificial controls are available in the form of spray, powder, concentrates, and granules. Plus, they are fast-acting, but after a long time, they can lose their effectiveness. Pesticides can kill both beneficial and harmful insects, which can create an imbalance in the environment. Human exposure to these artificial controls is dangerous in all aspects of life.

Organic Vs. Artificial: Which Is Safe?

According to the National Pesticide Information Center, the only thing important in both methods is their toxicity level. Many artificial pest control options are nominally toxic to humans and diffuse faster to prevent any dangerous exposure.

While some organic pesticides carry risks. Like, plant oils that are used as organic pesticides can irritate human eyes and their mucus membranes. People can also be allergic to these ingredients. Organic pest control options sometimes contain substances like zinc and sulfur that can hold water bodies.

So, in such cases, the question should be phrased as "safer for whom?
